What happens after I order my custom lipstick online?
DawesCustomCosmetics.com makes every order with care by hand as they are received to ensure the freshest, highest quality product to you. Due to the custom nature of your cosmetics, we are unable to accept returns, exchanges or refunds (except on defects or if the error is ours). All sales are final.
We do our best to ensure your privacy and security; all orders are processed using Secure Socket Layer (SSL) encryption technology and fraud prevention systems to make transactions as safe and secure as possible.
We accept American Express, Discover, MasterCard, Visa and PayPal.
Be on the look out for your confirmation email after you check out. Once your order ships, you’ll receive an email with the tracking number so that you can track your order.
If you’ve created an account and were logged in when you placed your order you can see if your orders shipped, the tracking number, and order history by logging into your account.

We will assist you in creating your custom cosmetics and processing your order. Please have a credit card ready to complete the order.
What forms of Payment do you accept?
Dawes Custom Cosmetics accepts MasterCard, Visa, American Express, and PayPal. We do NOT accept returns, exchanges or refunds. All sales are final.
How long does it take to make a custom lipstick or lipgloss in person?
Please allow 40 minutes per person for your custom lipstick and 15-20 minutes for recreation of the 1st color with scent, flavor, and lip care customization. Often we can make your custom lipstick lot quicker.

What are the ingredients in Dawes Custom Cosmetics custom lipsticks, glosses and eyeshadows?
While the ingredients we source and use are organic, we make no claims of them being so due to that requiring expensive certification processes.
Dawes Cosmetics is a luxury brand made in the USA with luxurious ingredients that contain a blend of natural botanicals and vitamins.
We use vegan, certified organic and natural ingredients wherever possible. We may elect to formulate with a synthetic ingredient if the natural ingredient proves to be from an animal source, non viable, or to maintain product integrity and stability.
Cruelty-free and made in the USA, so you can feel good about your makeup and shop conscientiously and guilt free.
Is Dawes Custom Cosmetics Cruelty-free?
Yes! We are Leaping Bunny Certified and only use cruelty-free ingredients, some of which are vegan (as listed). Dawes Custom Cosmetics sources cosmetics so gentle they’re recommended by a triple-board certified cosmetic and plastic surgeon and made of the highest quality botanically infused mineral natural ingredients.

How do I make a custom lipstick, Vegas party and/or Vegas makeup appointment?
Custom lipstick parties or individual appointments are great for Vegas weddings, bridal parties, bachelorette or birthday parties or individuals you can book and pay in 2 easy steps:
1: We recommend booking your custom makeup experience via Schedulicity:
Otherwise, you can contact us with your reservation enquiry via either our Online Form, emailing info@dawescustomcosmetics.com, or calling or texting: (+1) 702-550-8446. Please include your:
- Name
- Date, time and location of when and where you want the appointment
- How many people are in your party
- Any allergies or sensitivities to aromas or ingredients when you schedule your appointment
2. For the mobile custom lipstick experience: once we confirm and answer any questions you may have, please go ahead and add the On Location Custom Lipstick Experience to your cart, plus any additions we discussed from the drop down menus, and checkout. You will then receive an email confirmation. We look forward to celebrating with you and making you feel special. For appointments in the lipstick lab, payment is due at the end of the appointment.
Is there a custom lipstick appointment minimum spend?
Yes. For the Las Vegas on location custom lipstick bar: due to the length of the appointment, call-out to you, and artisans time, the minimum is $250 which includes your 1st custom lipstick or lipgloss. Extra completely custom lipsticks are then $80, or $35 for custom scent/flavor/lipcare versions of your 1st (included) custom lipstick.
For the Vegas Lipstick Lab appointments, the minimum spend is $80 which includes your custom lipstick.
What event are Dawes Custom Cosmetics custom lipstick bars good for?
You name it, it works! Whether it's just for you or a group; Vegas Bachelorette parties, Vegas bridal parties, Vegas wedding makeup, birthday parties, children's parties (we can do colorless versions that are just scented and flavored or even add various colors of sparkle), charity events, corporate events, baby showers, conventions, or private house calls for 1-on-1 custom lipstick creation. It's a great Vegas experience to create memories and do something different and fun.
How to make Dawes Custom Cosmetics Custom Lipstick Reservations:
We recommend scheduling your Custom Lipstick Experience as far in advance as possible to ensure availability. After you have confirmed with us we will email you a link to checkout on our website which will confirm and hold your desired appointment time. Gift Certificates may also be used in lieu of a credit card. Details of our cancelation policy are provided below.
Are Dawes Custom Cosmetics suitable for vegans?
Yes, there are several options in both the custom lipsticks and glosses and ready to wear collection. The Moisturizing Natural Vegan lipstick, Hydrating Lip Gloss and Waterproof Polish Lip Gloss. All products are cruelty-free and Leaping Bunny certified.
Can I buy custom lipstick gift certificates and how are they redeemed?
Yes, absolutely. You can buy them here. Dawes Custom Cosmetics Gift Certificates are available in any amount and may be purchased online and used to purchase products online or for our Las Vegas Custom Lipstick Experience. Gift certificates cannot be redeemed as cash.

How long does Dawes Custom Cosmetics shipping take?

Is gift wrap an option?
Yes, we love gift wrapping our makeup to send to the recipient of your choice to save shipping to you, you having to wrap it and get it to the person your gifting. Gift wrap is available at checkout.

We can either bring Dawes Custom Cosmetics Custom Lipstick Bar to your event for your guests or set you up with a discount code so you can purchase custom lipsticks for your event and sell them at your event yourselves at whatever price you'd like and keep the profits for your charity or create a custom color for you with a percentage of sales going back to your charity.

Is there a fee for Dawes Custom Cosmetics to attend our charity event?
No, we are a philanthropy based company and believe in giving back to our community. We will attend at no fee to you and give back a percentage of sales made at your event to your charity. Can I book Dawes Custom Cosmetics for a Pop-Up event (in store, in spa, magazine launch, etc)?
Absolutely, we love doing these. Please contact us to discuss your needs and the details so we can create the perfect pop-up custom lipstick bar for you. If there's not enough space for a custom lipstick bar we can provide a lipstick consultation bar and advise people on the best colors for them, apply their lipstick and have our ready to wear collection. Please include any relevant details in the notes section of the form.
How do I reorder my custom lipstick?
Simply add My Custom Lipstick Reorder to your cart and check out under the name we created your custom lipstick formula under at the time of your creation with us and we'll take care of the rest.
Is there any cosmetics I should avoid if I have nut allergies?
Yes, please don't order the Lip Glacé base as this contains Macadamia nut oil.
Which lipstick or gloss gives the most full coverage color for my lips?
All of the lipsticks and lipglosses besides the Sheer Glossy Lipstick and Sheer High Shine Patent give full coverage.

What lipstick or gloss gives the most matte finish?
The long lasting matte lipstick or the creamy liquid matte lip gloss.
Which is the most long lasting lipstick or gloss?
The long lasting matte lipstick or the creamy liquid matte lip gloss. The creamy liquid matte lip gloss works best and gives a dry look finish if you wait 5 seconds between each layer application. For the best wear time, use the primer 1st.
Which lipstick or gloss is the glossiest?
The waterproof vegan lip polish lip gloss, sheer high shine patent lipgloss, or the sheer glossy lipstick.
How do I make my lipstick or gloss last longer?
Start by applying a good Lip Primer and then filling in the entire lip with a matching lip liner pencil, then add a layer of lipstick and blot. Repeat layers of lipstick and blotting until you have you desired coverage. Layering lipstick and lipgloss will create the most long-lasting look.
How long does the long-lasting lipstick last?
There are no chemicals in any of our products which means they won't dry out your lips and are better for you. They are also highly pigmented which means the products tend to be really long-lasting. The lipsticks will be more long-lasting than gloss, for a long-lasting gloss choose the long-lasting base.
The long-lasting formulas will last up to 12 hours and all lipsticks and glosses work best with a good lip primer. Since your skin absorbs what you put on it, we choose caring, nourishing ingredients over chemicals and hope you'll love the difference and have peace of mind shopping conscientiously too.
Color Matching Disclosure
We will do our very best to color match from swatches. Because photos are much harder as monitors and devices display shades differently, people use photoshop so it's not it's true color, and often use an ombre effect (multiple lipsticks to look darker on the outside and lighter towards the center) we can't guarantee and exact match to pictures.
Lipsticks and glosses will also pull differently when applied to various skin-tones, so even if we create a perfect color match off it may look different on. Color matching your existing lipsticks or discontinued lipstick takes a lot longer to make than custom blending lipstick so please allow extra time for this service.

My Lip Gloss has separated
This is completely natural. All of our products are natural and contain no binders which can help prevent oils separating naturally due to the frosts and pigment being more dense than the plant waxes and oils. Simply give it a stir with the wand before use. Sorry about this but we think you'd rather have products that need a little loving and are kinder to your skin that alternatives.
